Pet Relocation FAQ

We provide pet export services from Hong Kong to the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the EU, the UK, Taiwan, Singapore and more. We also provide pet import services into Hong Kong, including permit applications, pet clearance and transport. The pet types we can handle include cats, dogs, parrots, frogs, tortoises, rabbits and more.

Make sure the destination authorities allow your pet’s transit route, and check whether the transit point has any additional requirements for pets. Based on your pet’s destination, we can provide suitable advice.

French Bulldogs and Persian cats are brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds. Short-nosed cats and dogs and their crosses are more prone to health issues on board, so many airlines have suspended carrying them. Based on your pet’s destination, we can provide suitable advice.

Depending on the destination, pet export generally needs 1–7 months of preparation. The steps may include: applying for endangered-species import/export documents, applying for an import permit, booking a quarantine space at the destination, booking the pet flight, microchipping, vaccination, laboratory tests, health checks, deworming, issuing the animal certificate and government endorsement of the certificate.

Because owners must arrive in the UK within a specified window after their pet, and direct pet flights to the UK are limited, we recommend confirming the pet’s space first before booking your own/family tickets.
